Keep refrigerated or frozen. Thaw in refrigerator or microwave. Keep raw meat and poultry separate from other foods. Wash working surfaces (including cutting boards), utensils, and hands after touching raw meat or poultry. Cook thoroughly. Keep hot foods hot. Refrigerate leftovers immediately or discard.
Cook thoroughly. Cooking Instructions: Gas Grill: 1. Pre-heat grill on medium-high heat. 2. Remove tri-tip from package and place directly on grill.3. Cook 6-10 minutes on each side, turning at least twice during cooking. Cook to an internal temperature of 145 degrees F, measured with a food thermometer in the thickest portion of the tri-tip. 4. Allow tri-tip to rest 3 minutes before serving. Oven: 1. Pre-heat oven to 375 degrees F. 2. Remove tri-tip from packaging and place in a shallow pan. 3. Roast for 20 minutes on one side. 4. Reduce oven temperature to 325 degrees F. 5. Turn over tri-tip and continue cooking. Cook to an internal temperature of 145 degrees F measured with a food thermometer in the thickest portion, approximately 20 minutes per pound. 6. Let rest for 3 minutes before serving. For food safety, cook thoroughly to an internal temperature of 145 degree F as measured by a food thermometer.
