“Using a fine mesh sieve, rinse 1 cup rice under cold water for 1 minute and drain.
Combine rice, 1 1/2 cups water in a 2 qt saucepan and soak for 30 minutes.
Bring soaked rice and water to a boil.
Cover with a tight-fitting lid. Reduce heat to maintain a low simmer and cook for 20 minutes.
With lid on, remove from heat and let steam for 10 minutes. Fluff it up with a fork and dig in. Serves 4-5.
Tip: If rice is too firm at the end of cooking, no big deal! Try adding 1-2 Tbsp. Water and cook for an additional 3-5 minutes.”
