Directions

Bring 1 1/2 cups of water to a boil. Add 1/2 teaspoon of salt and 1 teaspoon of butter or olive oil, if desired. Stir in rice. Cover with lid; reduce heat to low and simmer 15 minutes. Remove from heat and let stand (covered) 5 minutes. Fluff with fork and serve.
